Here is what past athletes and parents of Dick Powers Volleyball camps have to say about what we do:
Testimonies from Parents and Athletes...
"Dick Powers, through his Saturday School, Summer Camps, and Volleyball Club, has provided our daughter with specific fundamental volleyball skill development opportunities.
Dick brings a no-nonsense approach, backed by years of experience, continued study, and a genuine love of the sport, to each training opportunity.
He focuses on providing a positive learning and training environment by clearly establishing expectations, demonstrating skills, and then reinforcing correct execution." --Parent

"As a shy, unconfident 8th grader, I first walked into Dick Powers' classroom. As a senior in high school, I walked out a confident, outgoing leader.
Dick Powers has taught me more about volleyball and life in the few years I have trained with him than any previous coach I have had. He provides a learning environment that is appropriate for high level training.
Dick Powers has given me an advantage over the competition - not only by developing my skills, but also my knowledge for the game.
I had the awesome experience to work with Dick Powers this past summer as a camp assistant. During that time, I learned valuable lessons on how to communicate, teach others, build relationships around athletics, and be a positive role-model.
Dick Powers has also made a huge impact on my future by giving me positive recruiting exposure and advice. I am now a collegiate volleyball player due in large part to Dick Powers' instruction and guidance.
Dick Powers' knowledge and experience in volleyball are by far the best around." -–Current Collegiate Volleyball Player, Former Powers Volleyball Club Player

"By the end of her eighth grade volleyball season, our daughter was ready to quit volleyball altogether. During her seventh grade year she had experienced practices that consisted of nothing more than a coach tossing balls and virtually no instruction at another club in Fort Wayne. She was adamant about not playing club during the winter of eighth grade.
We convinced her that she should try Dick Powers Saturday School training in order to keep up and improve her skills in case she decided that she wanted to play volleyball in high school.
During the first four-week session, Dick Powers asked her to play for his club, Powers Volleyball Club. She was very reluctant to do so, but she LOVED it. Dick Powers revived her love of the game and brought back the joy that she had experienced the first year she played.
Our daughter received excellent training as a result of her association with Dick Powers Volleyball - in Powers Volleyball Club, Saturday Schools, and camps. This training was not available to her anywhere else in this area.
We have absolutely no doubt that our daughter would not be where she is today if it weren't for Dick Powers." --Parent
"I have two daughters who have been working with Dick Powers and his staff since Saturday School in 2000. We have done GUTS camps, Saturday School, and, most importantly, played for Powers Volleyball Club for the past 2 years.
The level of training that my daughters have received far exceeds the training that they have experienced through other programs they have attended. Coaches have personally told me that both girls show tremendous improvement each time they complete a session of their Powers training.
Not only do they receive volleyball training, but more importantly human development - something that is not always received in a classroom environment.
I am extremely appreciative to Dick Powers and his staff for all that they have done for my daughters and me. YES!" ---Parent

"Our daughter had played with another club for five years prior to joining Powers Volleyball Club. We truly feel she received the best instruction from Powers... not only skill instructions, but also instructions on how to be recruited.
She is now on Ball State's volleyball team, and we are forever grateful to Dick Powers and his staff for making that happen." --Parent
"My daughter has attended numerous GUTS camps and Saturday School sessions, and has played for the past two seasons for Powers Volleyball Club.
At each level, we have been impressed by Mr. Powers' expertise in both the technical aspects of the sport and the teaching methods necessary to communicate that knowledge to the athletes.
The result of our relationship with Dick Powers Volleyball is that our daughter is playing on her high school varsity team as a sophomore." --Parent

"Powers Volleyball has been more than just a volleyball learning experience for my daughter. She has gained a deeper insight on how to work as a team and how to develop special relationships with her teammates.
Also, the excellent instruction and discipline has enabled her to become a much better listener and has positively reinforced the self-discipline which I have tried to instill in her over these very important learning years of her life.
She now has the desire to become the best person and volleyball player that she can be.
My daughter has aspirations of playing college volleyball and is very interested in becoming a volleyball coach someday. I feel that she is with the best organization for accomplishing these future dreams." --Parent
"I believe the greatest value Dick Powers Volleyball has provided has been the confidence it has instilled my daughter.
Through excellent instruction and positive reinforcement from Dick and his staff, she has become a confident and intense volleyball player.
Dick Powers emphasizes a level of personal discipline in his instruction and coaching - something you don't see much in today's coaching arena." --Parent

"I feel that Dick Powers Volleyball did me a lot of good. My confidence level is very high, and I have improved my passing skills and timing a block very well.
My attitude on and off the court has changed a lot also. I feel that being privileged enough to be a part of Powers Volleyball Club helped me out a great deal on the court with confidence and leadership roles, and also off the court in my daily life.
I interact a lot better with people and I appreciate things a lot more now. I realize there are a lot of things I have taken for granted in my life." --Player, Powers Volleyball Club 2003

"Dick Powers Volleyball provided me with a learning environment to foster the development of my coaching skills. As a new coach, I was unsure of where to start and in what direction to head.
Dick Powers helped me to learn the fundamentals of the sport of volleyball and how to teach them. He also helped me to develop personnel management skills that are very much needed in the coaching world.
Dick Powers continues to be a valuable resource to my high school program." --Middle School Volleyball Coach

"One of the reasons I enjoy you and your program is the positive attitude your coaches and staff project to the kids.
It drives me nuts when I see or hear a coach coming down on the kids for something.
I have never seen or heard of one of your coaches doing that. I really enjoy a good competitive spirit, but I enjoy a positive approach to winning more." --USAV Junior National Official
